Great weather on Saturday 6th. We did a quick jaunt round from the Ski Car park across the Northern Corries, to the 1083m top W of Cairn Lochan, continuing over Stob Coire an t-Sneachda and then down Fiacaill a Coire Chais.
Horrible struggle through the shaded corrie – 2-3ft of thick unconsolidated snow made for a crawl of pace.
The ridge line was great though.
Not much else to say – it’s a short route, maybe 3hrs in summer – took 6 in the thick snow.
Back down past the ski madness and then on for a curry and a wee half – with some cracking company.
