Date: Saturday 21st January 2017
Weather: Clear winter day
Drove from Inverness to Incheril.
Kicked off Incheril in the dark, out to the bridge by dawn.
Ascended into the sun on the ascent of Meall Each, passed a few deer hinds loathe to move far.
Headed up Coire Sleagaich to take the standard path back to the lochans.
Nice view east to the Fannichs.
Coire na Sleaghaich:
Spotted a pair of Golden Eagles hunting together along the Sgurr a Thuill Bhain ridge.
Took the routine ascent – up into the Coire and then cutting back up to the lochan at NH 011 682. From there uphill to the summit area.
Easy ascent, sat for a while at the summit. Great visibility – Ben Loyal north, south to Aonach Mor. Hebrides not really clear.
Local sunset descending from Meall Each. The hinds were still hanging around.
Back to the car 1 hour post sunset. A dark to dark walk.
